A question that remained unanswered for years was “where the water on the Earth's surface came from.” Because geological studies revealed that the Earth had a surface full of molten material four and a half billion years ago. Scientists have now come up with two answers. First, this amount of water entered the planet by comets that passed near the molten Earth. Second, this amount of water reached the Earth by meteorites. Interestingly, this amount of water is completely appropriate. That is, if this amount was different, life on Earth would be extremely difficult, if not impossible. More than seventy percent of the oxygen needed by living organisms is provided by aquatic plants. Water absorbs a significant amount of heat and shows less temperature change. If the water on this planet becomes less, this planet will enter the process of collapse, meaning that the temperature will gradually increase and less carbon dioxide will gradually be converted into oxygen, and as the atmosphere thickens from carbon dioxide, less sunlight will reach aquatic plants to photosynthesize. But if the amount of water becomes more, more oxygen will be produced and in addition to respiratory problems for humans, it will cause insects to grow more and more. And we will see very long insects.
It does not matter whether the water on this planet came from comets or a meteorites or both, what is important is that it is in due measure.
Az-Zukhruf

And it is He Who sends down rain from the sky in due measure, by which We revive dead land. This is how you will be brought forth [from the grave].

Allah sends down rain from the sky and revives thereby the earth after its death. Indeed, there is a sign in this for people who listen.
