Almost everyone knows that the Moon is one of the celestial bodies that is the only moon of the Earth. But the way it was formed and its speed are important. According to some scientific reports, this beautiful ball is the result of the collision of a planet called Theia with the Earth, and due to the angle of collision and the speed of both planets, a part of this planet and the Earth separated into a mass of large and small rocks and was placed in a fixed orbit due to the gravity of the Earth. And the gravity of these rocks has changed over time into the current shape of the Moon. The second theory is that the Moon was a planet and was trapped in the gravity of the Earth while passing through the solar system. Both theories have many supporters, but what is clear is that the Moon has been orbiting around the Earth since the very beginning at a speed of three thousand six hundred and fifty-nine kilometers per hour, exactly the speed necessary to create the centrifugal force of the Earth. The matter becomes interesting when the Quran, which was published thirteen centuries ago, explicitly states:
An-Nahl
And He has subjected for you the night and day, the sun and moon, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Indeed, there are signs in this for people of understanding.
